Tamara's summary of "Revolutions"

Opening scene (Dean and Deluca's)

Ben is reading for his history of western thought class while pouring beans
into the grinder. Felicity tells Ben that he should ask Noel for help since
he's the TA but bright light thinks he can do it himself. As usual, Ben has
trouble pronouncing things. Enter Javier (yippee!!) "OK, my ex-boyfriend
just walked in nobody look." So, of course, both Ben and Felicity look.
Then Javier yells at them for looking. He tells them "He's the cute one over
there okay. I had a CRUNCH on him . . . but he fell too in love with me . .
. . then he became obsessive compulsive." Felicity looks again and Javier
yells again and informs Ben and Felicity that his CRUNCH is coming over to
the counter. Javier then asks Ben to pretend to be his boyfriend to which
Ben protests. Javier starts petting Ben and saying aloud, " . . . and then
for my birthday BenjaMEEN gave me a bubble bath . . . with a lot of candles
. . . and AROMATHERAPY". Javier proceeds to bury his head into Ben's chest
(man I wish I was Javier) and tells Ben to "Whisper into my ear lobe", all
the while Felicity is trying not to start laughing. Ben whispers into
Javier's ear lobe that he quits. Javier goes on, "You tease! We can't do
that here. (Kisses Ben on cheek while petting him the whole time.) . . .
Aren't I so lucky . . . going out with such a hunk." To which Felicity
replies, "Sooooo lucky." Then Javier looks back and his CRUNCH and realizes
it's not him so he stops fondling Ben. Ben pretends to be mad and Felicity
laughs.

Roll credits.

Felicity and Meagan's Room

They're both studying and Felicity is being annoyingly loud with her
highlighter. Meagan makes a bitchy comment about it . . . enter Burky.
(all I know is that when I was in college no one was that friendly with the
RA's because they were never around!!) Burky informs the girls that "It's
Burky." Just for the viewers who forgot about him since he hasn't been on
for a while. Meagan makes another bitchy comment and pretends to be
studying. Apparently Burky put together some sort of portfolio of
restaurants in the area for "the best first date of your life". Felicity
pretends that Burky isn't really stalking her and is conveniently saved by
the bell when Julie arrives says, "Krispy Kremes?" (I didn't know they had
Krispy Kremes in New York?) As Felicity is running out of her room in fear,
Burky asks her to look at the book and of course Felicity says she will.
Burky then tells Meagan, "Just for the record, you scare the hell out of
me." and surprise, Meagan gives him a bitchy look.

Streets of New York

Felicity and Julie have Krispy Kreme doughnuts in hand and an umbrella to
inform us that it's the middle of winter and raining in New York (and just
last month Ben was playing basketball outside in the middle of the night, go
figure!) Julie asks Felicity if she ever has dreams, to which Felicity
starts telling us a dream involving Meagan's box (I guess that is supposed
to reference the Twilight Zone episode or something?) Julie pretty much
ignores Felicity and tells her that she hasn't been sleeping because she's
been dreaming about Zack (the guy who raped her last season, obviously).
Julie informs us that she feels like a war veteran having flashbacks.
Felicity asks her what happens in the dreams and Julie shrugs her shoulders
and says she just can't sleep. Felicity informs Julie for the millionth
time that they have conselors at the health center. Julie says she knows
because she went last year and technically she is supposed to schedule a
third appointment. Felicity tells her she should schedule that appointment.
Julie says she's not ready "but the doughnuts are really good".

Health Center

Felicity on the phone " . . . swollen to the size of a squash ball" (I
really don't want to know!!) She then makes an appointment for the guy on
the phone for 5:15 because "we're sort of booked". A girl in a red sweater
walks up to the counter with her arms folded and doesn't look happy. Red
sweater girl's name is Leila Foster and she needs to get the morning after
pill because the condom broke.

Greg's Office

Felicity tries to use her sexual prowess with Hair Guy (Greg) to get Leila
an earlier appointment. Before Felicity gets a chance to beg, Greg starts
throwing MCAT questions at her about wind, height, forces, grass, glass and
water. Felicity explains the Leila situation and Greg informs Felicity that
the health center no longer distributes the morning after pill due to a
"policy change". Greg says it's a "hassle" and Felicity thinks it's a
bigger deal. Greg goes on about sucking up to administrators to get
support. Greg then guesses glass for his MCAT question and Felicity says
she guesses water. I guess this is the writer's subtle way of telling us
that Felicity and Greg are going to disagree in this episode.

Back the to Health Center front desk

Felicity then has to break the news to Leila that they don't distribute
"that medication". Leila gets pretty peeved and Felicity finally comes up
with the great excuse, "I'm sorry. I'm just a volunteer."

Noel's Lecture

Noel is going on about some author and asks the class if they agree with him
. . . "why or why not?" (All I'm saying is that I was a TA and there is no
way in hell I'm going to get any answers from anyone by asking three
questions all in the same breath but of course this is television so Ben
volunteers) No one in the class will look Noel in the eye and then Ben
raises his hand. Noel (surprised) calls and Ben. Ben says he agrees and
backs it up with a little info from the reading he did while filling the
coffee maker at Dean and Deluca's. Noel agrees with Ben for about two
seconds and then starts quoting the chapter to inform Ben that he was
totally wrong. (Come on Noel! That certainly isn't the way to get people to
volunteer their thoughts. Ben can't even pronounce the author's names, what
do you expect from him?) Noel then let's the class out. Noel asks Ruby how
things are going . . . she says fine and walks out (hey, didn't Noel sign a
transfer sheet for her last episode?) Noel then thanks Ben for volunteering
and Ben thanks Noel for making him look stupid (OK Ben didn't really say the
last part but he did say he felt like an idiot). Noel offers to help Ben.
Ben says OK and leaves.

Outside of Health Center

Felicity and Greg are leaving the Health center and Felicity tells Greg how
badly she felt about turming Leila away to which Greg again says, "Yeah it's
a hassle." Felicity informs Greg that she's done all of this research about
the morning after pill, telling him that all the health center in New York
distribute it blah, blah, blah. Greg tells Felicity about some article
being written in the paper involving the pill and the university which
apparently didn't sit well with the trustees. The trustees pulled the
pills. Greg says he argued with them and gives us a laundry list of things
he doesn't like about the health center. Lastly he uses the cop out of only
being able to fight so many battles. Felicity goes on about the great
injustice and Greg tells her that when he's a doctor with clout he'll change
the policy. Greg then informs Felicity that the answer to the MCAT question
was water. (I guess this is another subtle hint that Felicity and Greg with
disagree but in the end Felicity will be right!)

Dr. Pavone's Office (Yippee, she rocks!!)

Dr Pavone is trying to light her cigarette (big surprise) while Felicity is
going on about her friend . . . date rape . . . fragile . . . morning after
pill . . . and how much worse things would have been for her if she didn't
get the pill. Dr. Pavone (in her usual caring manner tells us what we're
all thinking) says, "So you've discovered an injustice." Felicity keeps
going on about how Greg wouldn't listen to her and it was like he was
defending the policy. Dr. Pavone tells Felicity she's "presumptuous". (Man
this lady is a helluva a counselor!) Dr. Pavone, in her extra sensitive
manner, informs Felicity that it's not Greg's battle to fight . . . no one
gives a "rat's ass" . . . and that it's time to start burning some bras!
(OK she didn't say the last part) By the end of the session we see that
Felicity is going to fight this herself and Dr. Pavone finally lights her
cigarette.

Felicity's Room

Felicity on the iMac looking up protest stuff with chick music booming in
the background.

Leila's Room

Leila opens the door to find Felicity outside. (Be afraid Leila, Felicity
has stalked before!) Felicity starts telling Leila about students protesting
clothes being made in sweatshops and restructuring of the minority affairs
office all with sit-ins, which of course worked. Finally she tells Leila
that she's going to have her own sit-in and Leila tells Felicity she'll be
there but she has to call the condom-breaker first.

Health Center

Felicity and a bunch of girls are sitting on the floor with posters and
cel-phones calling people for the sit-in. Camera pans to Elena (yippee, I
love her too!!) and Felicity thanks Elena for coming. Elena informs us that
Felicity is missing her big French test for this (sounds pretty convenient
to me) Burky shows up out of no where Felicity asks he's doing there. He
says he's picking up some medication. Then Elena says, "You low on Viagra?"
(did I mention that I love her?) Burky and Elena have a little friendly
banter and then Burky asks Felicity "what's so unfair to women" after
reading it on one of the posters. Felicity informs Burky about the
university not distributing the morning after pill but Burky's main focus is
that fact the Felicity's sit in is pretty pathetic in size. Felicity tells
him it will be bigger and then Burky tells us he's going to get his
"Claritin and round up a real sit-in".

Cafeteria

Noel is jabbering on and on about something I don't understand and it's
pretty obvious that it's over Ben's head as well. Noel then shamelessly
plugs Mountain Dew and keeps jabbering on about society . . . war . . .
change . . . violence (foreshadowing on the fight Ben and Noel will have!).
Then Ben asks "Who the hell drinks Mr. Pibb?" (Unfortunately I do Ben or
did. UCLA forced that stuff on us too but it was really good for Mr. Pibb
floats.)

Health Center

Loyd (creepy health center patient who is in love with Felicity) is telling
Felicity that he can't believe they won't give him his morning after pill.
Felicity informs him that it's just for women while she's trying to talk to
Javier on her cell phone. She's asks Javier if Ben is scheduled for today .
. . we get the feeling he's not (especially since he was just with Noel ten
seconds ago) . . . then she tells Javier he didn't look fat. Leila's on her
cell phone with the New York Times (I'm going to refrain from comment on
this one) and they want to know how to spell Felicity's name. Greg comes
out and asks to talk to Felicity.

Greg's Office

Greg informs Felicity that some doctor (Simmons) is coming by the health
center at 4 and Greg was planning on asking his for a letter of
recommendation. He asks Felicity to stop the sit-in because she's risking
more than just her future blah, blah, blah stop the sit in so I can get my
letter of rec, OK? Again he didn't really say that but that's what he
meant. Felicity looks unsure.

Burky in Elevator and on Streets passing out Pink Flyers

Burky is shamelessly flirting with everything in a skirt while passing out
pink flyers and saying "unfair to women" (which is always a good way to get
women!) Pretty funny scene just for note.

Noel's Apartment

Noel is trying to help Ben study and we get the idea that Ben is actually
retaining some information. After answering one question correctly Ben
informs Noel that he needs a beer. (Isn't this kid on probation for
drinking too much?) Ben hands Noel a beer, cracks open his own and starts
telling Noel how he never studied in high school (don't worry Ben I think we
all knew that!) Ben does a lot of head scratching during the whole
conversation and goes on to tell Noel that he spent most of his high school
days partying, swimming, running, girls. Noel uses some big words (which we
know Ben can't understand) to tell Ben that he was a computer jockey in high
school by using references to the western thought authors Ben is supposed to
be learning about.

Health Center

(Bra Burning music) The girls are putting signs up and people are getting
comfy on the stairs of the health center when Dr. Simmons almost trips on
them when he walks down them. Felicity watches Dr. Simmons start to talk to
Greg and looks concerned. Elena hands the phone to Felicity (I think that's
the most action Elena is going to get in this episode) and we hear Julie
asking if she should bring Sean down to the sit-in. Felicity tells Julie to
hold off a second because she's not sure if the sit-in is going to go on as
she watches Greg and Dr. Simmons having a not-so-friendly conversation.
Then a timely Brit starts handing out flyers about what to do when you get
arrested. Felicity second guesses the whole sit-in thing to Elena and then
Leila gets all fired up and says she's going to stay regardless. Another
timely entrance for Burky and his crew of protesters which triples the size
of the sit-in so Felicity tells Julie she may as well come down.

Commercial Break

Health Center (later in the evening)

Elena, Ruby and Julie are coloring posters. Julie informs Ruby that Elena
didn't think Ruby would come because she's having a baby and they thought
she might not support the whole cause. Ruby tells Julie and Elena that they
must think she's crazy. They lie and says she's not but her life is really
going to change. Felicity gets on the bullhorn (which really isn't
necessary) to tell everyone that the university pretty much won't comment on
the situation, while Sean is memorexing the moment (for the upcoming
Docuventary episode) by standing two inches away from Felicity. The
cheerleaders from episode #1 this season appear with pom poms and all to do
a really, really bad cheer. Then the Brit starts singing some old protest
some about trees and water and "we shall not be moved".

Noel's Apartment

Ben and Noel are duking it out on some video game where they have to fight
each other. Turns out that Noel is kicking Ben's ass on the video game
(which we have to expect because it has to do with computers) and that the
boys are pretty wasted by now. After Ben loses he gets up to get more beer
and tells Noel that there's only two more beers so they are going to have to
go to a bar after this. (I know Ben can't be 21. OK, wait maybe he failed a
couple of grades . . . nevermind). Then Ben tosses a beer at Noel who is
still playing the video game, and the beer hits the every coordinated Noel
on the side of the head. Ben starts laughing and Noel is running around
rubbing the side of his head while Ben is apologizing between bursts of
laughter. Ben then tells Noel to hit him back. Noel starts screaming about
how he's not going to hit him. Ben tells Noel that he knows Noel has always
wanted to kick his ass and BOOM . . . Noel hits Ben in the face. Ben is a
bit shocked and then dives after Noel. The two proceed to start wrestling
on the ground but not before taking out the television.

Greg's Office

Greg slams down the phone and starts whining to Felicity about his argument
with Dr. Simmons. Greg tells Felicity that the university is never going to
side with her (but then we all remember the answer to the MCAT question and
still have hope that Felicity won't get kicked out for being a troublemaker
slash alcoholic). Greg starts jabbering about aspirin and headaches and
Felicity apologizes.

Health Center

More chick music. Everyone on the floor sleeping. Felicity is still awake.
Julie wakes up suddenly obviously from a bad dream about Zack. Felicity
tell Julie for the like millionth time that she should make an appointment
with one of the counselors at the clinic! Julie agrees with Felicity
(instead of talking about doughnuts). Then Felicity goes on to say how
therapeutic it is for her to make her tapes to Sally because letting things
out makes you feel better, especially the stuff you don't want to talk
about. Julie tells Felicity to leave her the hell alone and she'll talk
when she's good and ready. Ok, she didn't say that, she just said she was
scared but that would have been pretty cool.

Noel's Apartment

Snow on the television which is still on the ground. Beer cans and trash
strewn about the floor. Noel on the couch passed out. Noel wakes up and
looks like he ran his face into a wall. Noel obviously has a headache and
I'm thinking his face hurts by the way he's moving his jaw. Ben's passed
out on the carpet and I'll I can think about is if he's going to have the
imprint of the carpet on his face when he gets up. No such luck, they never
show that side of his face. Noel asks Ben if he's dead to which Ben replies
yes. Ben looks pretty wrecked (but I'm thinking he still looks pretty hot
to me). Ben's states that this is an emergency and tells Noel that he
needs lime juice, tomato juice, eggs and baking soda. Noel looks like he's
about to toss his cookies. Cut to Ben making some hangover concoction.
Does every TV show has to have an miracle cure for a hangover? I hate that,
I mean no one in there right mind would drink that crap! Anyway, Noel tells
Ben that they sort of got into a fight last night and asks Ben who won. Ben
says, "I really don't think it was you" to which Noel says, "That's exactly
what I was going to say." Does anyone in their right mind actually believe
Noel win in a fight with Ben? All I can think back to is episode 1 this
season when Ben asked Noel if he was going to kick his ass with his
computer.

Health Center

Outside of the health center Sean is in the street shooting footage of the
sit-in which seems to be a full scale protest and almost gets tagged by a
car. Cut to inside of the health center where everyone is in line for the
bathroom. Meagan comes out of the bathroom all decked out (funky 70's song
in background) and blasts through the health center stealing a hacky sack on
the way. Felicity, Elena, Julie and Ruby are all on the floor of the health
center playing jacks and commenting about how this "doesn't feel like a real
protest". Felicity starts talking about the sixties, flower power and
burning bras to which Elena says, "but to burn a bra you've got to wear a
bra." Camera pans to Felicity's dad coming down the stairs of the health
center. (Doh!)

Commercial Break

Greg's Office

Greg, John (Head honcho doctor guy), Felicity and her dad are in Greg's
office. Felicity's dad starts in about how he's working at the hospital
again, teaching a class at the university and by the way he's there to try
to stop Felicity's sit-in (way to be supportive Dad!!) Felicity's dad
reminds her in front of everyone that she's at the health center because
she's being punished and she shouldn't be getting into more trouble. Way to
go Dad! Weren't you the one on drugs like two episodes ago? Head honcho
man and Dad inform Felicity to stop the sit-in and the board will put the
matter back under "review". Dad starts yelling at Felicity about how she
could lose her job, get arrested blah, blah, blah and that she should just
sell out. Felicity and Dad start going at it for a while. Felicity starts
talking about her dad taking away her roller blades when she was a kid and
that she's not a child anymore. You go Felicity! Greg finally backs
Felicity up and Leila busts in the office screaming about TV cameras.

Outside Health Center

A news reporter wants to talk to Felicity on camera about the sit-in and
Felicity asks for a minute to collect herself. Felicity goes to Elena and
Julie for support and then asks Leila to talk to the reporter because she
can't handle it. Julie and Elena give a little pep talk and Felicity looks
ready.

Noel's Apartment

Noel is quizzing Ben while they both sip on Ben's nasty hangover cure. Ben
starts channel surfing and happens upon Felicity's interview. Felicity is
talking about the morning after pill and she starts fumbling over her words
after about 10 seconds. She's asks if she can start over and Ben's tells
her from the couch that she can't start over. Felicity continues to fumble
over her words and Julie comes to the rescue. She tells her story about
being raped and getting the morning after pill at the health center. Noel
and Ben are watching with their mouths hanging open. Julie pretty much
saves Felicity's ass by pouring her heart out to and television audience.
Felicity and Julie hug while all Ben and Noel can come up with is "Oh my
God!"

Health Center

Camera pans through the health center where everyone is still sitting-in.
Felicity thanks Greg for backing her up and Greg thanks Felicity for
inspiring her or something. The Brit tells Greg that the Dean is on the
phone and we find out that the head honchos caved and that there going to
distribute the goods at the health center again. Felicity and Greg get all
excited and Felicity plants a big smooch on Greg. Then Felicity runs out to
tell the group that they won and everyone starts dancing all I hear is chick
music so I don't know what they are dancing to. Burky comes out of nowhere,
looks at Greg and says "She kissed you, didn't she? . . . That's not fair.
I do all the cooking and you end up with the cake?" Burky then tells Meagan
that Greg and Felicity kissed and asks Meagan to dance. Meagan storms off
saying something about killing Felicity since she's hot for Greg while
everyone is still dancing to music they can't hear.
