Synopsis of The Christening

Written by TK

Well, instead of tapes to Sally, all the narration in this episode (and I think in future episodes), will be done by Sean filming. His dockuventary is now a weekly series, so he's taping all his friends all over the place, being his normal endearing annoying self. I didn't really include all the taping scenes specifically in the synopsis, but they're scattered throughout.

Felicity greets Javier. She mentions that no one has heard from Noel all summer since he took of with Natalie. Javier says Natalie is a man-eater. Felicity is moving into a student apartment with Julie and Elena, and Javier has a friend who is moving and has all this furniture to get rid of. While Felicity and Javier are gathering furniture, Felicity hears that the studio apartment they're gathering from is going up for rent. Felicity goes over to her new student apartment and has a happy reunion with Julie and Elena. Their apartment is gorgeous (okay, so no college in the history of the world has student housing that nice, and certainly not in Manhattan!), and their fourth roommate, a British exchange student, will be arriving later. Felicity tells her friends that she just rented a cute studio apartment in Brooklyn, and might be living there with Ben. It depends on what Ben says when she finally tells him about it. Julie and Elena are remarkably understanding, but of course warn her that this could be a big mistake. Felicity says that maybe Meghan could take her place since Meghan's housing fell through. Elena and Julie don't think that's a great idea.

Meghan spent the summer in Tuscany with Sean and they had a great time. Richard worked in Orlando at a theme park as a female cartoon character. Elena and Traci spent the summer volunteering at the Children's Hospital in Buffalo (and they still haven't had sex). Javier is going to be a freshman. Julie spent the summer in Maine. No one has heard from Noel. Sean decides that the hook of this episode of his dockuventary will be that Noel is missing.

Ben comes back and Felicity asks him about the apartment. He says yes, pretty much without hesitation. (Brave man.)

Elena and Julie are helping Meghan move in. Meghan knows that Sean put them up to it, and they just took her in for the free furniture, but she's grateful. What about the fourth roommate? She hasn't gotten in from England yet.

Felicity shows Ben their studio. It's kind of a wreck. Felicity thinks it's romantic. Ben hates it and thinks it's a hell-hole, but doesn't say anything to Felicity.

Richard has figured out that Noel is somewhere in the city and is not planning on returning to college. He vows to find him.

Ben shows Sean his new hell-hole apartment and asks Sean to help him figure out what to do about it. There's horrible pipe-whining noises and the water is from the faucet is brown, plus none of the electrical sockets really work.

Javier is the first in his family to go to college, and his mother will be so proud of him... when he finally tells her.

Felicity gets back to the apartment and Ben shows her his suprise: a huge projector TV thingy. It's way too big for the apartment, and the bathroom door hits it 'cause Ben could only find one plug he could plug it into that didn't spark. Felicity says it's okay, but really she's not so psyched. Ben has to go.

Elena and Julie are actually having fun with Meghan, painting the kitchen and hearing funny stories about Tuscany and Meghan and Sean getting busted having sex by her parents. Felicity calls. While she's talking to Julie she sees a huge bug in her apartment.

No on in Javier's knows where Natalie is, and Javier is worried about the fact that Noel has also disappeared.

Ben and Felicity are spending their first evening together in their apartment. Felicity spots the monster bug again and begs Ben to kill it. Then the pipe-whining noise starts again and Ben starts yelling through the floor for whoever is downstairs to shut up. A gorgeous scantily clad woman comes to the door and apologizes, saying it happens when she turns on the water in her bath. Ben, who was raving about kicking ass a minute ago, says it's totally okay. Ben and Felicity go back to bug-hunting, and Felicity plugs in a lamp so they have more light, but the plug sparks and the lamp catches fire. Ben attacks the fire with a blanket while Felicity looks under the sink for a fire extinguisher. She finds one, along with a lot more bugs, but the fire extinguisher doesn't work. Javier comes over and is horrified by the fire and frantic Felicity and Ben. Ben gets a fire extinguisher from the hall and puts out the fire. The beautiful woman from downstairs comes back 'cause she heard screaming and asks if everyone is okay. Javier tells Felicity that he hopes that woman doesn't live in the building.

Elena and Tracy were both trying to get into this class, and it was a lottery system where they get numbers sealed in envelopes. They promised not to look at their numbers until dinner, but Tracy peaked and saw that he got in and Elena didn't. He knew how important the class was to Elena, so he switched the numbers so that Elena got in. When they opened their numbers at dinner, he saw that he had his original number back. Elena switched them so that Tracy got into the class.

Felicity is hanging out with Meghan and Julie at their sweet pad, telling them about last night's disaster: maybe they moved in together too soon, there's a beautiful woman downstairs, there are not only bugs there's a rat too, and Felicity and Ben haven't even had sex in their new place yet because of all the distractions.

Ben is at Sean's loft, lamenting the fact that he doesn't live there anymore. He thinks maybe he and Felicity shouldn't have moved in together. Sean tells Ben to take it one step at a time, so Ben decides to start with the step of fixing the sink.

Julie got tested to see if she was a match for her birth father's necessary kidney transplant. She wasn't a match. He died in July. At least she got to know him a little first.

Felicity is going to make rosemary chicken for dinner, and her parents are getting a divorce.

Ben is fixing the sink when the beautiful woman from downstairs comes knocking saying her bathtub is broken, and she's a dancer and really needs a bath for her back. He is a good boy and says his girlfriend is on her way home and probably wouldn't appreciate the beautiful woman being there, but the woman pushes her way in anyway.

Sean and Meghan are on his bed making out. She spots the video camera recording, and at first seems mad, but really she's mad 'cause he put the camera in the wrong place, and if he puts it to the side he'll get a much better angle. Ben calls, asking Sean what he's supposed to do about the girl in his tub. Meghan grabs the phone and says that if that neighbor girl she heard about is in his tub his ass is grass. Felicity comes home, sees the girl (who introduces herself as Bridgette) in the bathtub (which is in the living room, did I mention that?), and pulls Ben into another room (there's another room) and yells at him. He yells back that he didn't want to live here in the first place. They're just getting into a good fight when Bridgette comes in with the phone and says they found Noel.

Richard has gathered everyone together and they go to what seems to be a hotel room. They knock and ask for Leon, and Noel answers the door. (Leon is backwards for Noel). He's grown a beard, his hair is blondish streaked, and he seems psyched to see everyone and totally unconcerned about dropping off the face of the earth and out of school. He invites everyone into his messy room/apartment, and apologizes for the mess, but he and Natalie are about to leave for a trip. Elena starts to yell at him for ditching her with the apartment. He apologizes. Javier yells at Natalie. Noel and Natalie are ready to take off. All of Noel's friends are horrified at his transformation.

Felicity tells Javier she's ready to give up on the whole living with Ben thing.

Julie is crying on the couch. Elena asks her if she wants to talk. She says she'd rather be alone.

Ben is talking to Sean. He can't believe that underneath all the dirt and vermin Felicity sees beauty in that apartment. Sean reminds Ben that Felicity looks at him with those same eyes. Ben runs back to the apartment.

Felicity comes home to find Ben lighting candles all over the hell-hole apartment. (Enough candles can make anything look pretty... until it burns it down.) Ben apologizes for Bridgette in the bathtub and says he's getting rid of the huge TV thing. Felicity says she already spoke to the manager about getting rid of the apartment. This is too difficult, and she wants to have fun this year of college. The decide to have a nice last night in the hell-hole.

They're in the tub together, and Ben says maybe they should move in together after college. Felicity is amazed that he's planning that far in the future. They talk about their dream apartment.

Javier says something big is going to happen with Noel and Natalie.

Noel carries Natalie back into their apartment. They crash down on the couch and call eachother Mr. and Mrs. Crane.
